How to Troubleshoot and Fix Zoom App Error Code 1132 when Signing in or Joining Meetings

If you also see the Zoom app or website error code 1132 and you can’t login to your account or unable to join a video call meeting, check out the solutions below to know how to fix it.

Method #1 – Make Sure You Have a Good Internet Connection

Do a speed test on your network connection. For one-on-one video calls, you will need at least 0.6 Mbps. For group calls, a minimum of 1 Mbps is required. But, if you want a 1080p resolution, you must have at least 2.5 Mbps.

Improve the strength of your Internet connection. You may choose to bypass the router to connect your device directly to your modem. Removing barriers or elevating your router and modem helps too.

Method #2 – Power Cycle Your Devices

  3. Plug your modem back in, and wait for it to fully connect.
  4. Do the same with your router.
  5. Turn on your device and launch the Zoom app.
  6. Check if the error still exists.

Method #3 – Check for Available Zoom App Updates

There may be available updates for your Zoom app that can help you fix the error. To check for updates, click your username and select the Check for Updates option. 1. I have done all of these and still have the error. I even reset the PC. Other PC’s on my network do not have the issue.

  2. Have done all these as well and still am getting the error code. It started about a month ago. Zoom does not have the error code listed on there site. If you use zoom from the web browser it sucks, if anyone has any other suggestions, that would be great. It allows me to sign-in to my account, but once I try to join a meeting, then I get the error code

  3. i dont speak english but, i have same error and the only solution i have is create a new account on windows, i dont understand why, but i create new user on my windows pc and work good. i think is a error with the windows account like a security bug.

  4. It is ridiculous that Zoom people cannot (or will not?) tell us what this error code means. Insane. So I am driving my car and when I turn the radio on, it won’t play anything. Solution? Take it to the garage where they will tear out the engine and re-build it. In all likelihood, my radio will start playing again. Does anyone else see how damn silly this is? So what is the big secret behind 1132?

  5. You must have 2 users in your PC to avoid this error.

In that one user must same as your zoom sign in and others can be anyone.

You can sign in the user account where the zoom is available and then you can open your zoom the issue must be fixed.

  6. Same issue. Found a work around so you do not need to log out to run Zoom.
Create a different user. Log in as that user and re-install Zoom. Log out and log in as original user.
Create batch file to run Zoom as other user:

    runas /user:USERNAME “C:\Program Files (x86)\Zoom\bin\Zoom.exe”
    Enter other user password
