Here are some solutions that might help you solve the problem with your Google Assistant that keeps on popping up randomly.

Method #1 – Disable the Voice Commands

Google Assistant is on alert to your voice commands, so even if you don’t mean to say the command, it pops up when it hears the magic words. You can turn off the voice commands.

  1. Open the Google Assistant Settings.
  2. Now, go to the Voice Match.
  3. Look for Access with Voice Match and toggle the button to off.

Method #2 – Disable Your Google Assistant

  1. Open your Google app.
  2. Click the More button or the three-dotted icon at the bottom.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click Google Assistant.
  5. Navigate to the Assistant tab.
  6. Scroll down and under the Assistant devices, click Phone.
  7. Look for the Google Assistant. Toggle the button to off.

Method #3 – Turn Off the Google Assistant Home Button

  1. Go to the Settings of your phone.
  2. Click Apps and go to Default apps. In some devices, the Default apps is found under Advanced.
  3. Click Assistant & voice input.
  4. Click the Assist app.
  5. Select None.

Method #4 – Disable Microphone Permissions

  1. Open your Google App.
  2. Go to the App info screen.
  3. Select Permissions and look for Microphone.
  4. Toggle the button to off.

Method #5 – Clear the Cache on Google App

  1. Go to your phone Settings and click Apps.
  2. Select Google.
  3. Click Storage.
  4. Next, click Clear cache.
