Method 1 – Sign out and Sign in Again of Netflix app on your Device

  • Click Sign out of all devices.

Method 2 – Check Your Internet Connection

One of the reason why you may have problems with your Netflix app is due to your Internet connection. Check your WiFi network and routers to see if there are any problems with your connection that causes the error.

Method 3 – Restart Your Device

A quick restart of your devices can sometimes help in refreshing your connection.

  • Turn your device off.
  • Then, unplug all the power sources including your TV.
  • Wait for about 10 minutes.
  • Plug in all the power sources and turn your device ON. Check if the error is still there.

Method 4 – Clear Your Netflix App Cache Data

Once your cache data is full, it will cause complications and errors on your connection. Depending on the type of device you are using, there are several ways to clear your cache data.

  • Click the Home button 5 times.
  • Press the Up arrow once.
  • Then, press the Fast Rewind twice.
  • Next, press the Fast Forward twice also. This will restart your Roku device and clear your cache.

On your Amazon Fire TV

  • Click the Home button.
  • Select Settings.
  • Click Applications.
  • Select Manage Installed Applications.
  • Look for the Netflix app and select.
  • Click Clear Data.
  • Click Clear Data for the second time.
  • Select Clear Cache.
  • Unplug your Amazon Fire TV for 30 seconds.
  • Plug your device back on and try to see if the error is gone.

Method 5 – Reinstall the Netflix App

If you done all the methods above but not successfully, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Netflix app.

  • Go to the Settings of your device.
  • Select Applications/Installed.
  • From the list, click Netflix.
  • Next, click Uninstall.

Reinstall Netflix

  • On your device home screen, click Search.
  • Type Netflix and click on the app.
  • Select Download and wait for the process to complete.
  • Once done, open the app and sign in your account.
