However, this bug happens to many people, even to iOS users. Interestingly, users of Samsung Galaxy phones across different models seem to be primarily affected by this issue. The good thing is that there are ways to resolve the problem for you to go back to your calls and texts.

Troubleshoot & Fix the Not Registered on Network SIM Card Bug Problem on Android Phones

Receiving the not registered on network problem indicates that your Android device lost its connection options. It can be a problem with your SIM card, your cellular provider, or your Android device. Still, whatever the cause of the issue, you can try to troubleshoot and fix it with several solutions below.

Solution #1 – Reboot your Android Device

This step seems to be very basic, but sometimes people tend to forget how useful this process is.

  • Turn off your Android phone and wait for at least 3 minutes.
  • Turn it back on and try again.

Solution #2 – Disable Automatic Select on Network 

  • Navigate to the Settings menu of your Android device.
  • Go to WiFi & Network.
  • Select SIM & Network.
  • Tap your SIM.
  • Choose Network Operators.
  • Look for Choose automatically and disable the option.
  • Now, look for your network and select it.

It may not be the same process with other Android devices. Make sure you navigate to your Network Operators section to choose your network manually.

Solution #3 – Update the Software on your Android Phone

  • Go to the Settings menu of your Android device.
  • Navigate to Software Update. 
  • Install available updates for your Android Phone.

Solution #4 – Reinsert the SIM Card on your Android Phone

  • Hold the Power and the Home button on your Android device to turn it off. You can turn it off in other ways depending on the phone you use.
  • Wait for at least 2 minutes.
  • Now, remove the battery and the SIM card.
  • Press the Power and Home button simultaneously about ten times.
  • Now, hold both keys for about 3 minutes.
  • Put your battery and SIM card back on your phone.
  • Turn on your Android device.
  • If you need to remove your battery, do not perform the steps below.
  • After your phone reboots, remove the SIM card. 
  • Reinsert it and repeat the process five times.
  • Tap Restart your Phone.

Solution #5 – Contact your Mobile Carrier

If none of the solutions work, the best thing you can do is contact your wireless mobile carrier. Relay your issue for their customer support team to assist you better.
