Users get a “Regrant Failed” error which is then followed by the “Cannot Connect to iTunes: Error 6” prompt when signing up for Paramount Plus on iPhone or iPad. You may want to try following one method at a time and check if the iTunes error is still there. In some cases, one solution may work while the others may not. It depends on the source of the problem.

Solution #1 – Download and Sign Up to Paramount Plus using the Same Apple ID

Did you use the same Apple ID you used to download the Paramount Plus app to sign up on your iPhone or iPad? This is a common error whenever you are trying to sign up for a new Paramount+ subscription or restore one. Typically, this is just a simple Apple security problem that can be easily resolved.

The solution is fairly easy and straightforward. You just have to sign up for Paramount+ on your iOS device using the same Apple ID you used to download the Paramount Plus app. The issue goes away if iTunes can confirm that the Apple IDs match. So, make sure both IDs match. If not, it will only trigger the issue. You can check the Apple ID and sign up again.

  • Turn off your iPhone or iPad.
  • Unplug your router and modem.
  • Wait for at least 1 minute.
  • Plug them back in and connect to the Internet.
  • Turn on your iPhone or iPad and launch Paramount Plus.
