When listening to music on their phones, Spotify is always the first thing a lot of people go to. It offers access to hundreds of songs and artists varying from a different genre. You can think of a song and there is a great chance Spotify has it.

Spotify wants to enhance the user’s experience with its new feature called Group Sessions. You can create a session on Spotify where you invite friends to listen to a single playlist. Now, you and your friends can have a music party together even if you have to do it remotely.

Spotify Group Session is an excellent way to bond family and friends in music. However, many users complained that their Spotify Group Session has no sound or is not working. When they are in one group session, only the host can have the audio and not working on the other devices.

If you face the same problem with your Spotify Group Session, keep in mind that a lot of users are experiencing the same thing. For instance, when you start a group session, the audio will only be heard in one speaker. When you are in different places, only the host can listen to the songs.

According to Spotify, the Group Session feature is still in its beta stage. It means that there are still bugs and issues that need to be resolved by Spotify.

However, you can try the following methods to see if it works for you.

Method #1 – Adjust the Volume on Your Device

Either you change the volume using the buttons on the side of your phone, or you change the sounds in your phone’s settings.

Method #2 – Restart Your Spotify App

  1. Close the app.
  2. Wait for a few seconds.
  3. Relaunch your Spotify App and try starting a new Group Session.

Method #3 – Restart Your Device

If restarting the app does not work, try to restart your device and relaunch the Spotify app.

Method #4 – Close Other Running Apps

Some of the apps running in the background are taking up your device’s resources. Force quit or stop other apps and try your Spotify Group Session again.

If none of the methods above work, all you have to do is wait. As indicated above, the Spotify Group Session is still in its beta stage. We all have to wait for Spotify to fix the feature.
