Unfortunately, there was an instance when Garmin Connect was experiencing a widespread downtime affecting millions of users around the world. People are seeing this error message when trying to open the Garmin Connect app on their mobile devices:
“Outage Notice: Garmin Connect is currently experiencing an outage. We are working to resolve it as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience. Check our status website for updates.”

You can wait for a few minutes or hours for Garmin to fix the issue by themselves. Check your Garmin Connect app once in a while if the service comes back. Then, you can sync your current activities.
