There is no doubt that Facebook Messenger is one of the most used messaging apps that many people enjoy. It connects to their Facebook accounts and is easy to navigate when sending messages, emojis, images, or videos. Many users also find it reliable and can get the job done when you want to send and receive instant chat messages.

However, there are times when Facebook Messenger opens up and keeps popping up on startup in Windows 10 or 11 PC. It is not a big deal if it does not cause any trouble on your part. But for some users, loading the Facebook Messenger app automatically during PC start up means a longer waiting time.

In some cases, users also experience blue screen errors or frozen screens when more apps load up on startup at the same time. It does not only apply to Facebook Messenger but to other apps as well. Loading these apps upon startup means more use of system resources, higher CPU usage, maxing out allocated memory, and the added risk of other computer problems.

Your Facebook Messenger and other apps launch automatically when you restart or boot your computer because these have in-built settings to run upon startup. Fortunately, you have the option to disable the feature and regain your computer resources needed for a much faster booting up.
