The Android 11 update is the closest to Google TV in terms of features and UI. Users will have the latest entertainment software with easier and more enhanced personalization and curation. Google will eventually replace the Android TV operating system with Google TV on your favorite smart TVs.
The Android 11 update will be released in the third quarter of 2021. It will be available to TCL TV models 2019 and 2020. Earlier models from 2018 and earlier will not be able to enjoy the update.

- On the top right corner, click the gear icon or the Settings menu.
- Select Device Preferences.
- Go to About.
- Click System Update.

Sorry, but recent (Feb 2021) firmware update on my TCL 55C715 has broken several features and resulted in worse performance. I’m locked in a back and forth battle with TCL support at present trying to resolve the issues. Certainly wouldn’t trust them to roll out a bug free Android 11 update! And will never buy another TCL product.
Totally agree! Their warranty sucks and so do their products. Waste of money for a tv that didn’t even last a year. Would not recommend TCL tv’s to anyone unless they were $5 and used for target practice
