Apple’s streaming service, Apple TV Plus, features Original titles exclusively for its users. You can try it for free when you purchase any Apple device or bundle it with Apple Music for a discounted subscription plan.
While Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, and other streaming service platforms have hundreds of contents to choose from, Apple TV+ offers only selective movies and shows. Apple TV Plus does not have its dedicated app but can be found and accessed right inside the Apple TV app.
What is the Difference Between Apple TV and Apple TV Plus

Many users are quite confused when talking about Apple TV and Apple TV Plus. Apple TV is an all-in-one streaming player and app from Apple. It is a hub where you can watch different channels as well as, stream from third-party apps. There are TV channels like HBO, MTV Hits, Lifetime Movie Club, Cinemax, Showtime, Tastemade, and more. Apple TV+, on the other hand, is a streaming service that you can find inside Apple TV, much like the other channels available on the hub.
Now, when streaming on your Apple TV Plus, you can turn on the subtitles and closed captions for you to completely understand what the characters are saying. But for some people, they would prefer not to get distracted by the added text they see on their screen.

Whether you want subtitles or closed captioning (CC) on your movie or not, you have the option to turn them on or off on Apple TV+. Read on below and learn what options you got to do it.
How to Enable or Disable Subtitles and Closed Captions on Apple TV+
Let’s get straight, there is no direct function on Apple TV Plus’ main settings that allows you to easily enable or disable subtitles and closed captions for all content. However, you can edit the font size and style as a workaround to almost get rid of them completely.
But, when you try to play a film or TV show, you will notice that you can actually turn the subtitles and CC on or off, right there and then for that specific content. It is a faster and easy way to do it. Just follow these steps to get rid of those extra on-screen text or show them, up to you.

- Play any movie or TV show that you want to watch on Apple TV Plus.
- On your remote control, press the Down arrow during playback.
- Now, select the subtitles and closed captions option.
- You can choose the language you want or select Off to disable.
- To edit the style, navigate to the Settings menu.
- Click Accessibility.
- Choose Closed Captions and Subtitles.
- You can now change it.
