Good thing Paramount Plus allows you to enable or disable subtitles and closed captions, so you have the option if you want to have the added text on your screen or not.

  3. I COULD NOT TURN ON THE CLOSED CAPTIONS EITHER UNTIL I FOUND THE ICON AT THE TOP RIGHT OF THE PICTURE AND CLICKED ON IT. THE CAPTIONS SHOWED “OFF” WITH A BLUE CHECK MARK NEXT TO IT. WHEN I CLICKED ON THE “OFF” NOTHING HAPPENED TO CHANGE IT TO ON. WHEN I CLICKED ON THE WORD “ENGLISH UNDERNEATH THE CAPTION ‘OFF” AND DID NOTHING ELSE, THE CLOSED CAPTIONS FINALLY APPEARED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PICTURE. HOPE THIS HELPS.
