Solution #1 – Enable the GPS

First things first. Your GPS may not be enabled. Depending on your mobile device, it is easy to turn on your GPS by enabling the Location services.

  1. Open the notifications panel of your mobile phone.
  2. Look for the Location button and tap it.
  3. Now, try your Pokemon Go again.
  4. On some devices, you will need to go to the Settings menu.
  5. Go to Connections.
  6. Then, tap Locations or toggle it to enable.

I think niantic has done this to nix older devices….lol I got an android go tablet for Black Friday and was hoping to play pokego on it but play store says the game is not compatible….so for shots and giggles I downloaded an apk from apk mirror and yea I’m getting this error gps 11 error…game does install and loads me up into the overworld but nothing spawns lol

  2. Restarting my device worked for mine. thanks, i wish i could have thought of this before having to look online. lol just kidding, it was restarting while i was looking to see if this ment i was banned, because right before it happened i was gps spoofing
