But, there may be issues along the way that will prevent you from accessing and using the app at launch. One common problems with most users is the error code CAA301F7 that comes with the trouble on signing in to their Microsoft Teams account.

Some users see the error message, “Error code – caa301f7. There’s a more permanent way to sign in to Microsoft Teams. If you’re having trouble completing the process, talk to your IT admin.”

Solution #1 – Check your Internet Network Connection

You may have issues with your WiFi network connection. Try performing a speed test to see if you have a reliable Internet network signal. You may also want to check your network connection using other devices if it is working out fine. If not, you can improve your WiFi Internet connection or contact your service provider.

Solution #2 – Clear the Microsoft Teams App Cache

  • Make sure to quit the Microsoft Teams apps before you clear the cache.
  • Launch the Run dialog box or the Search option and enter %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams.
  • In the Microsoft Teams window, highlight all the files and delete them.
  • Close the AppData window and relaunch Microsoft Teams app.

Solution #3 – Turn Off Windows Firewall on Windows 10

  • Navigate to the Settings menu.
  • Select Update Security.
  • Click Windows Security.
  • Choose Firewall & network protection.
  • Choose your network profile.
  • Look for Microsoft Defender Firewall. Toggle the button to Off.

Solution #4 – Clear Login Data on Microsoft Teams


Make sure that you remember your Microsoft Teams login information before clearing it.

  • First, launch the Search option and enter credential manager.
  • On the Windows Credential window, look for your Microsoft Teams login data.
  • Select them and click Remove.
  • Reboot your computer.
  • Relaunch the Microsoft Teams app and sign in again.

Solution #5 – Reinstall Microsoft Teams App on PC

  • You will need to uninstall your Microsoft Teams app first.
  • Go to the Control Panel.
  • Select Programs.
  • Click Programs and Features.
  • Look for the Microsoft Teams app.
  • Click Uninstall.
  • Now, follow the procedure in solution#2 to clear the app cache.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Reinstall the Microsoft Teams app and try again.

Solution #6 – Access your Microsoft Teams Using the Web

You can also try to log in using the Microsoft Teams website. On your browser, go to https://teams.microsoft.com/. Login to your Microsoft account.
