AirPods owners will experience an upgraded performance on their AirPods Pro true wireless earbuds and AirPods Max over-ear headphones thanks to the regular firmware updates released by Apple. With the latest device software version, your AirPods Pro and AirPods Max will have more features for a seamless and reliable listening experience.

Apple recently launched the firmware version 4A400 for both AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. Now, your wireless earphones will have support for the Find My app that will enable you to activate Lost Mode and locate your AirPods in case you lose them.

Find My app communicates with compatible AirPods through Bluetooth signals to find their exact location. You can use your iPhone to search within proximity and receive notifications if their AirPods are left behind.

Another excellent addition with the AirPods Pro or AirPods Max firmware upgrade is the Conversation Boost which steers the attention towards the user directly speaking in front. That means ambient noises that may distract your conversations with other users are filtered, allowing you to focus more on the person talking next to you.

The new device firmware update on AirPods Pro or AirPods Max gives your wireless headphones better audio accessibility and transparency mode. You can also receive fixes for bugs and other improvements.

How to Download & Install Latest Device Software or Firmware Version Update on Apple AirPods Pro TW Earbuds & AirPods Max Headphones

If you want to get the latest firmware version on your AirPods Pro TW earbuds and AirPods Max wireless headphones, you don’t have to do anything. Apple automatically downloads and installs the new device software version to your AirPods Pro and AirPods Max when it connects to your iPhone. You don’t need to perform a manual upgrade installation and even if you want to, Apple did not design a way for you to manually do that.

Make sure that you put your AirPods and AirPods Pro inside the charging case or connect your AirPods Max headphone to its lightning charging cable. Now, connect the device to your iPhone, and iOS will install the firmware automatically for you. Put your iPhone next to your AirPods Pro TW earbuds and AirPods Max over-ear headphones.
