The good news is that there are a few things you can do to fix your Android phone that vibrates randomly without notification.

Switch your Android Device to Sound Mode

You might not realize it but you might have set your Android phone to vibration mode only. Your phone will just vibrate during messages, calls, or app alerts if you set your Android’s Sound Mode to Vibrate.

Changing the sound mode can help fix the Android issue.

  1. Open the Settings menu.
  2. Click Sound & Vibration.
  3. Choose Sound Mode.

This will stop your phone from vibrating when receiving SMS messages, calls, notifications, app alerts, and others.

  1. Go to the settings of your device.
  2. Choose the option for General Management.
  3. Select and click Reset Option.
  4. Pick Factory Data Reset from the options listed and then click to proceed.

Check for Glitchy Apps on your Android Device

Those ghost vibrations on your device might be due to a glitchy app. If the app constantly sends and receives data, it often gets stuck in a loop and may start to send notifications even if there are no new details to share.

To pinpoint the culprit app, make sure you check for updates. You can also restart the app or delete and download it again. Or better yet, you can completely delete the app, especially if it’s something that you don’t often or actively use.

Check Vibration for App Notifications

Several problematic apps may also trigger vibrations even when you have turned off the app notifications, making it difficult to identify the culprit.

  1. Check all recently installed apps and disable notifications in notification settings to fix it.
  2. Proceed to Settings, go to Notifications, and tap See All Apps.
  3. Choose the app you assume to be the one that causes the random vibrations then toggle off the notification categories.
