Method #1 – Use your Browser to Read EPUB Files on PC

If you have a Google account, you can access Google Play Books. It is part of Google Play that allows you to shop for ebooks and add them to your account. From there, you can save it under My books and read it anytime.

Google Play Books also allow you to Upload EPUB files from your computer to your own personal library.

  • On your browser, go to https://play.google.com/books.
  • Select My Books.
  • Click Upload files.
  • You can drag your files to start upload or click Select files from your device. If you saved the EPUB files on your Google Drive, click My Drive and upload your ebook.

Use Browser Extensions to Open EPUB Files on Windows 10

Another way is to download a browser extension for your Google Chrome or Firefox. Go to Chrome Web Store or Firefox Browser Add-ons and download your browser extension.

  • Navigate to the Apps tab.

Method #3 – Convert EPUB File to PDF or Rename EPUB to a ZIP File

If you have a PDF converter tool like Calibre, you can also convert your EPUB file to PDF so that it is easily readable in Windows ecosystem. After converting, you can now open the PDF file on your Windows 10 PC. Follow the instructions on your specific PDF file converter to do the process.

Renaming and changing the epub file extension to .zip will also allow you to open and read your eBook in Windows 10.

  • Right-click on your EPUB file and select Rename.
  • Change the .epub to .zip and hit Enter.
  • Then, use 7-Zip, WinZip, or WinRAR to extract the content of the compressed file into an HTML format.
