Solution #1 – Check the YouTube TV Status
It may be a problem with YouTube TV and not on your end. The best you can do in this situation is to close your YouTube TV for at least 15 minutes. You can check their website, social media, or other forums if there is a downtime on the service.
Solution #2 – Power Cycle Your Device
You may be experiencing a poor Internet connection. What you can do is to power cycle your devices to refresh them and delete temporary files that may be causing the problem.
- Turn off and unplug all of your devices and wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Now, plug your modem in and wait for it to fully connect.
- Do the same to your router.
- Plug in your TV and Roku device and turn them on.
- Launch your YouTube TV and check if the error still exists.
Solution #3 – Add your YouTube TV to Roku Again
- In your Roku Home screen, go to the channel tile and look for YouTube TV.
- Press the asterisk on your remote.
- Select Remove Channel.
- Restart your device.
- Go to Settings and select System.
- Choose System restart.
- Now, go to the home screen and click Streaming Channels.
- Look for the YouTube app and select Add Channel.

none of these solutions worked
If you delete the yttv app you can’t get it back because roku removed it from their available apps. So doing that will be worse. I haven’t found a fix, but I reached out to support. Hopefully they can help.
