Performing a factory reset means that your Panasonic smart TV will go back to its original setting. It will restore the system to its default state, just like when it came out from the factory. While it is an effective solution to most errors on your smart TV, you have to take note of what it can do.

When you factory or hard reset your Panasonic TV, it will remove customized data in your settings. It means that any customization you made on your TV will be gone. It will delete your stored WiFi passwords, input names, account data, and login information. It will also remove install apps, recordings, and tuned channels.

Ideally, you can perform the hard reset if you are planning to give away your TV or sell it. Deleting your data before giving o selling it will prevent usage of your account.
