How to Enable or Disable Autoplay Feature on Paramount Plus

Paramount Plus makes streaming easier for you with a feature called Autoplay. It automatically plays the next video for you after finishing the first one so that you don’t have to do it manually. The next movie will play without you touching the remote or the next episode if you are watching a TV series.

However, not all people liked the idea of automatically playing content. Sometimes, you don’t want the next video to play without your control. You may be doing something important or interrupted by a call. The next thing you know, the next episode is playing halfway through. And it will add clutter to your Continue Watching list.

Autoplay is a useful tool when streaming on Paramount Plus. But, you always have control over it. You can enable or disable the feature at any time you want. If you are binge-watching, it helps to turn it on.

  1. I prefer a theatrical experience: Let the title play through to the very end, including full credits and music, with no overlay or skipping. Then stop.

A lot of modern TV uses the closing music as part of the experience.

(A one-click “play next episode” would be fine. But please don’t do things without me asking!)

(The only time I want autoplay is for holiday Twilight Zone marathon.)

  2. This app is suffering from what all apps suffer in the beginning. The UI “not invented here” syndrome that makes their dumbass engineers produce dumbass functionality.

I can’t see the final moments of some tv shows within a browser because of this.

These guys can’t seem to stop violating The Law of Least Surprise.

  3. Paramount forces us to watch what they think we should at the cost of the programming we did choose. We are probably going to drop their service because there isn’t enough substantial content and this autoplay situation is ridiculous.

  4. Turn off auto play. Because a lot of people, like me, watch shows to go to sleep. However when I choose a show on demand, I only wanna watch one episode to fall asleep too. I did not realize that it was going to have auto play and last night I started a show and five episodes played and kept me awake all through the night. I’ve seen a lot of forums that a lot of peoples used cases is to watch something while they go to sleep so they want auto play turned off so it doesn’t keep them awake through the night. I think that setting needs to be something accessible through a button on top of the screen controls. Just like you can turn on or off captions, you should be able to turn on or off auto play from the show that you were watching. Or at the very least make this setting accessible from every single location that settings is located, including from a laptop. Not just from the app. And including from Apple TV. Apple TV should allow us to toggle the setting as well if we are watching Pluto through Apple TV app.

  5. No autoplay please. I’m on the web browser and so cannot turn it off.
I see no advantage to having autoplay on (even when binge watching)
Is better to be able to enjoy the full conclusions see the actors, use the restroom, get a sack…
Then when I’m ready, I’ll decide what to play next and when
