Creating a post on Reddit is more engaging if you can include more than one image. As they say, a picture can speak a thousand words, what more if you have three photos or more? However, many users complain of the tedious process of adding more than one image to your single post. Now, Reddit has heard your call and launched a new feature that will let you add image galleries to your Reddit post.
Image Galleries in Reddit will allow users to upload up to 20 images or GIFs on their single post. You do not have to use a third-party photo-sharing site to show all the images that you want to include in your post. Instead of just adding the links from these sharing sites, you can upload the images on Reddit.
This new feature is helpful for communities that are focused more on visual presentations. Clothes, designs, and other similar communities thrive better with more photos on each post. It is now easier and faster to present a topic or an instruction with more images for support.
As of now, the image galleries support images and GIFs. Reddit announced that it will also launch its video support for galleries in the future.
Adding Multiple Pictures using Image Galleries to a Reddit Post
It is easy to add a gallery to a post.
- Go to the Reddit website or app.
- Click the Create a Post button.
- From the tab, select the Image Post option.
- Now, start choosing the images that you want to add to your gallery.
- You can also rearrange the photos. Add up to 180 characters on your caption. Do not forget to include a title.
- Once you are done with the editing, tap the Post button.
Wrapping It Up
Keep in mind that your post needs approval from the moderators before it will be posted to the Reddit community. To increase the chances of your post being approved, you can include tags such as “Not Safe For Work” or “Spoiler” tags if necessary.
The Image Galleries feature is now available on Reddit website and Reddit apps for Windows and iOS devices. Android users can experience the same convenience on their mobile soon as the feature rollout is being done.
