Signing in to a new user account on Windows 10 will prompt us to use our email accounts. While Microsoft wanted users to use their own email providers like Outlook, Hotmail, or Live, it also allows other email platforms such as Gmail.

Now, you don’t need to set up a new Outlook or Live account for you to create a Microsoft account. You can use your Gmail account if you are more comfortable using your usual email address. It will also give you the same privileges when using the Outlook, Hotmail, or Live account. Users can sync their accounts, download apps from the Windows Store, or make purchases.
