How to Troubleshoot & Fix Fire TV or Fire TV Stick (Firestick) Stuck on Amazon Logo Screen Error

If you’re complaining about the Amazon Fire TV or Firestick streaming media player getting stuck or frozen while loading the Amazon logo screen, you’re in a perfect place. Follow these solutions to help you fix the streaming issue.

Method #1 – Wait For a While

Sometimes, it helps to simply wait until it gets past the logo screen. It can be another five or ten minutes. It may be an hour. But, it sometimes gets through and you can start streaming your movies and TV shows again.

Method #2 – Make Sure You Have Sufficient Power Supply

If waiting does not work, try checking the power supply. Your Fire TV Stick needs enough power to load and stream your shows. If you are using a power adapter, try switching directly to a power outlet. If you are not using the original cable from Amazon, it may be the reason for the error. You can switch to a different power cable.

Method #3 – Check If Your Device is Overheating

Your device may be overheating hence the reason for the stuck in the logo screen. A good way to deal with overheating is to leave it to rest for at least 30 minutes. Turn off your Smart TV and unplug all of your devices. Let it rest for a while to cool down. Now, you can plug your device back in and reconnect your Amazon Fire Stick.

Method #4 – Connect to a Different HDMI Port

There may be a problem with the current HDMI port that you are using, so switching to a different one can help. You may also try connecting directly to your TV bypassing any hub or splitter.

Method #5 – Reset Your Amazon Fire TV Stick

  1. I find the reset Fire TV instructions particularly stupid. I am here because the device is stuck on the logo screen as you describe. It won’t allow any remote inputs and certainly doesn’t give me the option to reset the device.
