You can watch Netflix on any smart TV, your mobile device or practically anywhere as long as you have your account details with you.

To stream movies and TV shows on Netflix on your smart TV, you will need to sign in to your account. However, some people sometimes need to sign out of their Netflix accounts for various reasons. Not doing so will only allow others to access their accounts and watch or mess up with the shows on their list.

You can switch accounts or completely logout of your Netflix account on any smart TV device. It can be your TV at home or the smart TV of a friend. You may be using a different model or brand somewhere from what you are using at home. This method works on various smart TV brands and models including Sony, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Sharp, or TCL TV. All you have to do is follow the steps below.

Note that the Exit Netflix and Reload Netflix do not work in logging out of your account.

  • Open the Netflix app on any smart TV.
  • If you are not on the Home screen, go back to it.
  • On the remote, press the Left button to open the menu.
  • Locate the Get Help section. Press the Down button until you highlight it.
  • Press the Select button.
  • Press the Down button again to look for the Sign Out option and highlight it.
  • Press the Select button.
  • Press the Select button again to confirm your action. You have now signed out of your Netflix account successfully.

If you have a hard time finding the Get Help section, follow this sequence on your remote control: Up Up, Down Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up Up Up Up.
